Genetics, also known as Traits, are characteristics innate to a player that grant unique passive effects, currently allowing for either faster Mastery gains or a different set of forms entirely.
There are currently no legitimate means to become Traitless.

Character creation[ | ]
Most characters, when they are created, are Traitless. However, there is a chance that they will start with either Trait. Before the defeat of the Eye of Cthulhu, where Traits gain their gameplay functions, it is still possible to determine a character's Trait by looking at the Ki bar's color.

Genetic Reroll[ | ]
The Genetic Reroll wish will either give a Traitless character a Trait, with equal odds for either, or change the Trait of a player who already has one.

Faster mastery gains.
Prodigy characters, upon the defeat of the Eye of Cthulhu, will master their transformations twice as fast.
Legendary[ | ]
The Legendary Ki bar.
You are the saiyan of legend.
Legendary characters, upon the defeat of the Eye of Cthulhu, have their maximum Ki (including the effects of Ki Fragments, but not equipment) doubled. Furthermore, their transformations path is altered to the Legendary Super Saiyan branch, locking them out of any forms from Super Saiyan 2 onwards.
